This huge park extends for about 660 hectares. It’s dotted with national treasures and World Heritage Sites such as Tōdai-ji Temple with the Great Buddha of Nara, Kōfuku-ji Temple, and Shōsōin Treasure House, as well as natural features including Kasugayama Primeval Forest and Mt. Wakakusa. It’s renowned as a place for autumn leaves. Most of the park is covered with grass, and about 1,200 tame deer live here.
