Ehime Prefecture produces high quality bamboo, which is woven into traditional bamboo ware by craftsmen in Matsuyama. As the products age with use, they take on a beautiful hue and patina. These traditional bamboo products are often used as flower baskets and for storing tea ceremony utensils. Recently, bamboo is also being used for interior decoration, speakers and so on.
