Dōgo rickshaws

Richshaws are said to have been invented in Japan around 1868. They were used as a common mode of transportation in Japan from the 1870s through the 1930s. They are currently used for sightseeing purposes around tourist spots. Rickshaws in Matsuyama can be hired in front of Botchan Karakuri Clock and Dōgo Onsen’s Main Building, which includes a guided tour of Dōgo by the runner. There is a selection of courses starting from 10- to 20-minute tours to choose from, depending on your purpose, time, and budget.
