Matsuyama Castle Ninomaru Historical Garden
Index
Located on the side of the castle hill, the foundations of the palace of Matsuyama’s feudal lord are marked out as a garden. The northern half of the garden features citrus and flowers from various regions. The southwestern area features running water, gravel and lawns. The ruins of a large well discovered in an excavation are found here as well and are left exposed for visitors to view. In 2013, the garden was selected as a “sanctuary for lovers” and is popular with couples as a romantic power spot.
