Shiroyama-kōen Park
Index
The vast territory of this public park includes the Honmaru, the Ninomaru, and the Sannomaru (Horinouchi area) of the Matsuyama Castle Ruins. The grassy Yasuragi Hiroba offers a view of the castle’s Tenshu, the Ninomaru, and other historic sites, and is a favorite relaxation spot for locals.
Visitors can enjoy light athletic activities such as walking or running through the park, as well as taking dogs for walks, and playing catch and so on, and on weekends, the park often serves as a venue for events. In the spring, the profusion of cherry blossoms in full bloom attracts crowds of visitors.
The park has been selected as one of the “Top 100 cherry blossom sights” of Japan.
