Guidelines for Bathing

Using the changing room locker

Be sure to lock up. Place the key bracelet on your wrist when going into the bathing room and be careful not to misplace it.

No swimwear allowed in the bath

Entering the bath wearing a towel is also prohibited.

Please put your hair up

If you have long hair, please put it up so that it does not touch the water.

Wash up before going into the tub

Please wash your body before going into the onsen. Push on the faucet once and hot water will run for a certain amount of time, then automatically shut off.

How to use a towel

Do not put towels into the onsen tub. To rinse a towel, please do so by filling a pail with water.

How to use the shower

Do not stand when using the shower. Push on the faucet once and hot water will run for a certain amount of time, then automatically shut off.

After the bath

After bathing, please wipe off as much water from your body as possible before entering the changing room.

Hydration

To prevent getting sick due to soaking in hot water, be sure to drink plenty of fluids after bathing.

How to Wear a Yukata Robe

Put on the yukata by holding both sleeve and making sure the center part faces front. We recommend wearing a T-shirt underneath.

Fold over the front of the collar, right side first.
※Please be sure to fold over the right side first, because in Japan, folding
over the left side under the right is only done for the deceased.

Be careful not to wrap too tightly.

The sash should be placed at about the positions as shown above. Women should tie it around the waist, while men should aim for around the
hip bones.
